Welcome to Spross Consulting & Stay Put Strategies, LLC.

If you are like the majority of Americans over the age of 45, you want to be able to remain in your home throughout your maturing years. According to the 2011 AARP Boomer Housing Study, 84% of older homeowners prefer to age in place. A 2014 study of more than 4,500 participants reaffirms the historic trend that most people ages 50 and older want to age in place. Adults ages 65 and older are even more likely (87 percent) to say they want to age in their current home or community than those ages 50 to 64 (71 percent). In addition, the studies have found that boomers say their home meets their current needs and, because most are relatively healthy, they admitted they have delayed planning for their later years (even though they did recognize the need for future modifications).
